  • What is parkour?

Parkour (abbreviated PK) describes a form of transportation, the aim of which is to get from point A to point B as efficiently as possible only with the abilities of your own body. The parkour runner (French: le traceur "the one who draws a line") determines his own path through urban or natural space - in a different way than specified by architecture and culture. An attempt is made to overcome obstacles in the way as efficiently as possible by combining different movements. The focus is on the flow and control of movement. Parkour is therefore also referred to as the "art of efficient transportation".

  • What is freerunning?

Freerunning is not a synonym for parkour, but its own discipline, the techniques of which partly overlap with those of parkour.

  • What is a stuntman?

A stuntman (English for "trick presenter"), also outdated cascadeur (after French cascadeur), is the double of a film actor. He takes on the character of the actor and plays the role to be performed under the special conditions of a stunt. Stuntmen can also be used as stunt players, taking on the role to be shown alone. It is said that the circus gave birth to the stunt. In the early days of the film, some actors, such as Buster Keaton, themselves performed the dangerous scenes. Specialized doubles were later used for this purpose, but they mostly acted rather unknown in the background. However, a few managed to become famous themselves, such as the German “climbing climber” Arnim Dahl.
